Stocks Pushing Towards New Highs
Friends
It was a good day for the bulls. The market averages continue to move towards record territory despite lots of hand wringing among Wall Street analysts. Tariff deadlines appear to be continuously movable and market participants have been directing their attention elsewhere. The big, beautiful bill looks like it will be voted on and likely passed soon. Finally, next week we will get the most recent data on jobs.
As for stocks, by the close the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 404 points to finish the day at 43,386. The S&P 500 was up 48 points to close at 6,141. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 194 points to close at 20,167. Gold was up $1 to trade at $3,344 per ounce, while oil was up $.50 to trade at $65.42 per barrel WTI.
Just 2 more trading sessions for the quarter. Let’s see if the bulls can take the market averages to new all-time highs by next Monday’s close. Stay tuned.
Have a nice evening everyone.
