Very Quiet End To The Week

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. The markets were open for trading today, but very few showed up to participate. The market averages did little and volatility was non-existent.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 20 points to finish the day at 48,710. The S&P 500 was down 2 points to close at 6,929. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 20 points to close at 23,593. Gold was up $56 to trade at $4,559 per ounce, while oil was down $1.51 to trade at $56.84 per barrel WTI.

There are three trading days left for 2025. Perhaps we’ll see a little more action next week. But, again, I’m fine if we just coast into the new year. We’ll see.

Have a great weekend everyone.
