A Winning Streak

Three in a row. That’s what’s called a winning streak. For the third day in a row stocks moved nicely higher as things appeared to be bit quieter with regards to tariff headlines. Silence is golden at the moment. Earnings reports have been mixed but the biggest issue for corporate CEO’s is future guidance. We’re not going to get overly confident just yet, but it is good to see more than just one-day dead cat rallies.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 486 points to finish the day at 40,093. The S&P 500 was up 108 points to close at 5,484. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 457 points to close at 17,166. Gold was up $61 to trade at $3,355 per ounce, while oil was up $.37 to trade at $62.64 per barrel WTI.

Earnings continue to come with Google (Alphabet) after the close today. Can we keep the winning streak going as we close out the week tomorrow? We’ll let you know how it all plays out. Stay tuned.

Have a nice evening everyone.
