Market participants continue to just ignore all the tariff headlines and who can blame them. The goalposts continue to be moved, and we aren’t really sure what the consequences will be if all these tariffs actually do go into effect at some point anyway. So, the bulls continue to buy any semblance of a pull back.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 192 points to finish the at 44,650. The S&P 500 was up 17 points to close at 6,280. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 19 points to close at 20,630. Gold was up $11 to trade at $3,332 per ounce, while oil was down $1.51 to trade at $66.87 per barrel WTI.

Volatility has been pretty quiet as we now move into earnings season beginning next week. I would expect things to be livelier over the coming weeks. Buckle up! In the meantime, let’s see how the week finishes out tomorrow.
