Another Quiet Trading Session
Friends
Despite a few less than stellar earnings reports from Coca-Cola, Lockheed Martin and Philip Morris, the Dow and the S&P were able to carve out gains on a rather quiet trading day. Tomorrow, we get numbers from big names Google and Tesla. Maybe that will liven things up in the later part of the week.
As for today, by the close the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 179 points to finish the day at 44,502. The S&P 500 was up 4 points to close at 6,309. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 81points to close at 20,892. Gold was up $37 to trade at $3,444 per ounce, while oil was down $.84 to trade at $66.36 per barrel WTI.
As I mentioned, thought there was a bullish tint to today’s trading, things seem to be kind of in neutral at the moment, but the bulls still are firmly entrenched on the high ground. Let’s see if things liven up a little over the next few days. Stay tuned.
Have a nice evening everyone.
