Good Start To The Week For Stocks
Friends
The Nasdaq led stocks higher as some of the recently sold tech names are finding some buying support from bargain hunters. Next up will be earnings season as we get to see if corporate America can justify some of the share prices, we see at the moment. So far this year, we have seen earnings keep up with price movements. Let’s see if that continues.
As for today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 155 points to finish the day at 53,055. The S&P 500 was up 54 points to close at 7,537. The aforementioned Nasdaq was up 288 points to close at 26,121. Gold was up $46 to trade at $4,172 per ounce, while oil was down $.02 to trade at $68.67 per barrel WTI.
We are entering the dog days of summer, but the markets are anything but quiet at the moment. This might just be a summer that keeps traders engaged. Stay tuned.
Have a nice evening everyone.
